Q2. Do I need to book an appointment for an estimate before I can have my vehicle repaired?
If you have received a claim number from your insurance company, it is not necessary to book a time for an estimate. Simply schedule a time with Ritchie to drop off your vehicle; we will put you in a replacement vehicle and begin the repair process. In situations where you are thinking of paying for your repairs privately, we would be happy to schedule a time for you come in for a preliminary estimate of repairs.
Q3. Does your shop have a replacement vehicle that I can drive while my vehicle is getting repaired?
Yes. All qualified customers will either be given a vehicle from our fleet, or arrangements for a rental vehicle will be made, at no cost to the customer.
Q4. How long will it take to complete the repairs on my vehicle?
This will all depend on the extent of the damage, as well as the availability of parts. When you drop off your vehicle to be repaired, we will provide you with an estimated timeline to complete the repairs. Then, throughout the repair process, we will keep you updated regarding the timeline so that you may plan accordingly.
Q5. Will I have to pay a deductible to complete the repairs to my vehicle?
That depends. If you are at fault, or are making a comprehensive claim, you will be required by your insurance company to pay the deductible stated in your insurance policy. If you are in a collision and are not at fault, your deductible will be waived by the insurance company. In some cases, even if you are not at fault, you may still be required to pay the deductible until such time that your insurance company determines liability at which point if you are still found to be not at fault your deductible will be reimbursed by your insurance company.
